We’ve created a set of printable cards which teachers can use with upper primary school children to help them think about the uses of GenAI in schools. The cards are based on the text of our AI Jungle Book but they are 100% metaphor-free for learners who get on better with literal language.

Our friends at the Scottish AI Alliance and Children’s Parliament have created a set of lessons aimed at upper Primary learners.

Developed with children and educators across Scotland, the resource pack introduces AI in a way that’s practical, ethical and age-appropriate, with children’s human rights at its core.

Featuring six ready-to-use lesson plans, real-life scenarios, and animated videos created by children, the pack supports teachers to explore AI in fun, thoughtful and meaningful ways.

Learners with additional support needs often decode text effectively but struggle with comprehension, particularly when it involves abstract ideas and implicit meanings.

This lesson uses AI as a “thinking partner” to help learners analyse key themes, clarify complex messages, and uncover bias in news imagery.

By externalising their thought processes with AI, learners develop critical and abstract thinking skills, allowing them to navigate media with greater confidence.

This lesson was developed by Kevin McPhee with assistance from Dandan Martindale.
